The easiest way to adopt a Candela course in Blackboard is to follow directions from your institution or contact Lumen Support for help.
You can also adopt using Blackboard's Export/Import Course Copy process.
Step 1: Exporting Course in Blackboard
- Navigate to Course > Packages and Utilities > Export/Archive Course
- Choose “Export Package”
- In FILE ATTACHMENTS choose:
- Course Files Default Directory:
- Copy links and include copies of the files in the course default directory
- Files Outside of the Course Default Directory:
- Copy links and include copies of the files outside of the course default directory
- Copy links and include copies of the files outside of the course default directory
- Course Files Default Directory:
- In SELECT COURSE MATERIALS:
- Check the boxes for:
- “Content Areas”
- “Discussion Board”
- “Grade Center Columns and Settings”
- Select any Personal and/or Institution specific content
- Check the boxes for:
- SELECT “Submit”
- DOWNLOAD the export file: Once the process is complete, return to Export/Archive Course and select (click on) the file name to download the course package file.
Step 2: Importing Course in Blackboard
- Navigate to Course > Packages and Utilities > Import Package/View Logs
- Choose “Import Package”, enter:
- SELECT A PACKAGE: Click Browse to locate the course package
- SELECT COURSE MATERIALS: Check the boxes for:
- “Content Areas”
- “Discussion Board”
- “Grade Center Columns and Settings”
- SELECT “Submit”
- Once you receive an email indicating the Course Copy process is complete, go to your course and to find the copied materials.
